Paltalk, an internet communication program, has become quite popular. Many people with computers and microphones can actually talk with one another worldwide. A participant in Paltalk does not use his real name, but uses a nickname.
Sometime ago a young woman from a Muslim country learned about Paltalk, and wanted to give her testimony. She was a Muslim who had become a Christian. She had a desire to share her experiences and encourage Christians to share their faith with Muslims. She also hoped to encourage Muslims who were listening to Paltalk, to consider following Jesus Christ.
She shared a number of times using the nickname, Angie, but one day, a listener recognized her voice and posted her real name, phone number, and address on the internet.
Since Muslims consider anyone who leaves Islam for another religion to be an "apostate", a traitor to Islam, the apostate's life is often in jeopardy from angry Muslims and from the government whose Muslim laws state that it is illegal for a Muslim to change religions.
Poor Angie received not only harassing and obscene phone calls; she also received numerous death threats.
Caring Christian friends quickly arranged for her to go into hiding. She lost everything, her home, her family, and her job for the sake of Christ. She needs our prayers as her life is in danger.
Please pray for "Angie", for her safety, for a way to support herself, and for encouragement.
